3D printing

I’m thinking about 3D printing some custom game models for tabletop use, but I’m not sure whether to go with resin or filament printing. Which one gives better detail and durability for miniatures?

I started experimenting with 3D printing game models a while ago, and the resin vs. filament debate really depends on what you want most — detail or durability. Resin printers capture incredible fine details, perfect for tabletop miniatures with intricate armor or facial features. Filament (FDM) printing, on the other hand, offers stronger models that can withstand more handling, though the surface sometimes needs extra finishing. I also discovered that sites like https://www.gambody.com/stock make the process much easier — their STL files are already optimized for both resin and filament printers. I’ve downloaded a few models there, and the instructions were clear enough to help avoid common printing issues. For me, resin is the better choice for visual quality, but filament wins when you need something sturdy for constant tabletop play.
